All children all over the Earth make marks early in life. Andrea has been creating art her entire life. Many children stop around the age of 12 when the inner critic increases. As a youngster Andrea desired to teach art but it was as an adult she found a different calling. She pursed her masters in art therapy and mental health. Currently, she works in the mental health field using art therapy as well as sand tray therapy and play therapy to aid in treatment.
In Andrea’s personal time she creates her own art work. Soft pastels, clay, and painting are her passion. She has taken seven years of pottery and ceramic lessons, began as a self-taught painter on canvass in the fifth grade, and has been using oil paint for over six years.
It was in high school that Andrea started to engage in creating self portraits and still life working with oil paint, charcoal, and soft pastel. Andrea continued her education in the arts with a minor in visual arts in her undergrad years. As well as training in part of her master program.
