I am inspired by light, colours and faces.
I started drawing with coloured pencils and experimented with watercolours since I was a child.
I took many photos of my friends, exploring the effect of light on their faces. I understood that the natural light is more applicable to my work. When the sun shines, it is the right moment for me to take my camera and shoot as many pictures as I could.
Portraits inspire me the most, especially the look or glance of a sitter which reveals the personality and hidden emotions. I think big boards or panels give more space and possibility to what I am looking for. I am happy when I see that the model I am painting is very pleased with her reflection in my painting.
Lately, I produced brochures, posters, catalogue and adverts for a festival in Ireland. I have become interested in digital media.
