All of my work is freehand and unique in a style blending stippling-pointillism and line or hash drawing, in pen and ink. It reproduces and re-sizes well; for use in applications like stationary, business cards, etc
If you like my work and the style, and you would like an image created, contact me with your ideas and photos. The themed - collage style is very popular with Americana fans, re-enactors, black powder enthusiasts, at Pow-wows, Mountain man rendezvous, highland games, social events/festivals.

Growing up, as did many others with a romanticized version of those people who helped to build the nation we, as Americans have come to know. While the western expansion of the United States lasted a relatively short period in American history; approximately fifty (50) years; from 1800 to 1850. The faces of the men and women of that era, have largely been forgotten.
While the popular media (i.e., dime novels, books and film) portrayed, known faces, such as Fess Parker as historical figures like Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett, Clint Walker as Yellowstone Kelly, Robert Redford as John Johnson, Jeff Chandler as Cochise, Chuck Connors as Geronimo, Victor Mature as Crazy Horse, and countless others. I have discovered the need to demonstrate a more accurate view of those historical figures.
Utilizing a unique style of pointillism-stippling, combined with line art, I create historically researched portraits of those people who contributed to the era. Those who travelled, little known and unknown regions of western expansion of the United States.
Native Americans, pathfinders, mountain men, scouts, the fur traders and trappers that explored, surveyed, mapped and opened, river routes, mountain passes; discovered lakes and landscapes, that would later become our trails, roadways, national parks, and landmark resources.
It should be understood that many [historical figures] early likenesses can only be viewed through the work of artists of that day. If the artist that produced the original rendering was not very accurate neither will any works produced from those rendering; be accurate. This is seen in effect in some of my galleries.
