Formerly a sweater designer, now an aspiring artist, I study painting at community college. As you can see, I really enjoy portraits, the figure, and museum drawing. My paintings are layered using traditional techniques and materials. I start with your photograph.

I enjoy painting indigenous people from my world travels and hope to do more. Currently I am concentrating on the images of children. My goal is to capture their personalities and spirit. My style is simple realism, I try to create more than an impression but not digital art. I do not detail backgrounds because I want the painting to be only about the subject.

The above prices are for one subject. The painting process starts with a 30% deposit payable by credit card.

The canvas is painted on the sides and does not need framing. A hanging wire will be attached.

Your "actual size" photos need to be crisp and best results are from photos that have light and shadow. I may manipulate the photo to achieve a composition that is balanced and interesting. I will work with you on layout before I begin to paint. I want to understand your requirements and know that you will be satisfied. When the portrait is complete an additional 10 days of drying time will be needed before shipping.
