Nathan (Nate) Sandoval is a self-taught artist that has worked as a cabinet maker for over 20 years. He was born December of 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised by loving parents in a large family of 19 children. Nathan began drawing as early as 5 years old and was recognized in 6th grade by Edward Kennedy for his pencil drawing of JFK which was on display at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Archives Library. Comics, superheroes and monsters were Nathans first love with Norman Rockwell and Davinci inspiring him later. Nathans focus is on detail, color blending and shading, with an emphasis on realism. He believes art should touch the heart and enjoys sharing it with others through portraits of people and wildlife. Nathan has free-lanced portraits, including murals, throughout his life beginning in elementary school.
