My aim is to produce paintings of familiar subjects with universal appeal, from a fresh perspective for the viewer. I create appealing, accessible paintings that you'll love to live with. My goal as a painter is to stay loose and let your eye fill in where there is little detail, and to evoke an emotional response as you interact with the spirit of my work.

As a lifelong artist, I worked 25 years as a Commercial Artist and Art Director in Advertising prior to moving to Sonoma County in 2001. For the past 20 years I have dedicated my painting to exploring exquisite Northern California landscapes, still life, and people / pet portrait work.

I delight in painting commissioned Pet Portraits. I find that paintings of animal companions brings such joy. I'm so happy to see the smiles of my clients when they receive their painting of their beloved pet.

I love teaching watercolor painting! It brings me immense satisfaction to guide others in their exploration of painting, both in groups or private lessons.

My pricing for pet / people portraits is pretty straightforward. I design my work to be able to be matted / framed to standard frame sizes which can be purchased for reasonable prices. Matted out to an 11 x 14" size: $ 500.00. 16" x 20" size: $ 750.00. 20" x 30" size: $ 950.00. The artwork ships to you matted and wrapped in a plastic sleeve, sandwiched in between 2 sheets of foam core board. I typically ship these priority mail, and include the shipping price in your final invoice.
