A singular “California impressionist” style exemplifies Chuck Weber's work, which celebrates life in color; deep and saturated straight from the tube. While he paints a variety of subjects, including figurative works and corporate commissions, he particularly enjoys the challenge of oil portraiture. His signature portraits are candid and capture a “moment in time”, painted in a Renaissance technique of dark to light on sanded panels.
The winner of over two dozen national competitions, Chuck is also an award-winning alla prima and plein air painter. A three time honoree in the Richeson 75 International Portrait Competition, Chuck is a Double Winner of Artists Magazine International Competition and recipient of the Grand Prize in International Artist's Challenge Competition.
Chuck is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, The Portrait Society of America, The Society of Illustrators, Wisconsin Visual Artists, The League of Milwaukee Artists and West End Artists.
Some of Chuck's more notable commissions include personal commissions for Brett & Deanna Favre, MVP's Aaron Rodgers & Ryan Braun, Vince Lombardi Lance Armstrong, PGA legends Arnold Palmer, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Payne Stewart, Freddy Couples and Jack Nicklaus; Marquette Coach Al McGuire, Archbishop Timothy Dolan and recently His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.
Chuck's work hangs in many corporate collections including CBS Sports, Nakita Corp, Birds Eye, Northwestern Mutual, Acuity, Kraft, US Bank, NBC Sports, Marquette University, Trek Bicycles, the Archdiocese of Greater Milwaukee, West Bend Insurance and many more.
